30 Years of Musical Precision: Meet Chris Drury

From the West End to the High Seas — Professional Charts by a Musician, for Musicians.

With over three decades of experience at the highest levels of the entertainment industry, Chris Drury has established himself as one of the UK's most trusted names in music transcription and arrangement. Based in the entertainment hub of Blackpool, Chris doesn't just 'type notes' — he understands the soul of a live performance.

A Lifetime on Stage

Chris's journey began as a professional pianist at just 12 years old, and by the 1980s he was touring as a keyboard player with some of the biggest names in the business — gaining the kind of on-the-road experience that simply can't be learned in a classroom. In the early 90s, he launched C.D.P. MusicWorks, bridging the gap between live performance and digital precision.

Why Experience Matters

Because Chris has spent his life behind a keyboard in theatres, clubs, and television studios, he understands exactly what a working musician needs:

Sight-Readable Charts: No awkward page turns or cluttered notation.

Authentic Feel: Backing tracks that breathe like a real band.

Pressure-Tested Quality: Music that stands up to the rigours of cruise ship rehearsals and live television.

A Global Portfolio

From the 'Clubland' circuit to international Television and Radio, Chris's work has been performed on every continent. His arrangements have been performed by artists appearing on the world's leading cruise lines, including:

Royal Caribbean
Cunard
Princess Cruises
P&O
Celebrity Cruises
Holland America

Whether it's a bespoke arrangement for a headline act or a rapid transcription for a last-minute show, Chris delivers publisher-standard quality with the fast turnaround that the modern industry demands.

The Tech Behind the Talent

While Chris's ears are his greatest tool, he utilises industry-leading technology to ensure your project is delivered in the most versatile formats:

Sibelius: For world-class engraving and notation.

Logic Pro: For high-fidelity stems and cinematic backing tracks.
